Hi, I’m Alisha Mikesh — a Minnesota-based portrait and wedding photographer, mom of three, and founder of Courageous Moments Photography. My love for photography started years ago, but after losing our oldest son, Lucas, to childhood cancer, I stepped away from the camera for a while.

Coming back has given me a deeper appreciation for capturing the moments that truly matter — the kind you’ll look back on for a lifetime.

I specialize in portraits and weddings, focusing on the real emotions, connections, and little details that make each story unique. Whether it’s a family milestone, a wedding day filled with love, or an everyday moment you never want to forget, I bring both heart and a keen eye for detail to every session. I also offer complimentary sessions for families affected by childhood cancer — a way to honor Lucas’ legacy by giving back in the most meaningful way I know.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me chasing my kids through the yard, enjoying lake days with my husband Kyle, and soaking in the beautiful chaos of family life.
